    Pantomimes

Susie is probably best known for writing and directing her legendary Pantomimes at Hackney Empire, which were critically acclaimed and changed the fortunes of the East London theatre over her 22-year tenure there.

Her last Hackney show was the 22nd anniversary production of Dick Whittington, set in 1948 as Dick arrives in London on the Empire Windrush and follows his story exploring London. This production led her to win Best Director at the Great British Pantomime awards.

Since 2023, she has written and directed pantomimes at the Broadway Theatre, including last year's (2025) OFFIE  Award best produciton winner, Sleeping Beauty.
